Duties & Responsibilities


The Finance Officer is responsible for:
  • Accounting and reporting of all financial transactions for the Town of Ellington
  • Administering Payroll and Accounts Payable
  • Investing Town funds
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Submitting the annual budget to the Board of Finance
  • Preparing bid documents, purchasing agent
  • Serving as financial adviser to all boards and agencies
The Finance Officer oversees operations in Tax Collector and Tax Assessor's offices.
