Reminder: Taxes are Due by Wednesday, February 1, 2017

The Ellington Tax Office would like to remind Ellington taxpayers that the second installment of real estate and personal property taxes and the supplemental motor vehicle tax bills are due no later than Wednesday, February 1, 2017.  

The real estate and personal property tax bills mailed on June 29, 2016 contain the second installment payment coupon.  If you have misplaced your bill please contact our office to request a copy.  The motor vehicle supplemental tax bills will be mailed on December 29, 2016.  This tax is for any motor vehicle registered after October 1, 2015. It is prorated from the month registered through September 2016.  
The Tax Office offers the option of paying taxes online, by visiting the Town of Ellington’s website, www.ellington-ct.gov, real estate, personal property and motor vehicle taxes can be paid with a credit/debit card or from an online checking account.  Invoice Cloud, which handles these transactions, charges taxpayers a convenience fee, electronic check ($0.95 processing fee) or credit/debit card (2.95% processing fee).  Please note that credit/debit cards are NOT accepted in the Tax Office.
