Ellington Residents! Spring is here and it's time to walk those trails and beautify Ellington. And we need your help! The Personnel Committee is looking to make appointments to these two committees on May 1st!

The Ad Hoc Ellington Beautification Committee has been established for the purpose of enhancing the beauty of public access areas. Do you have a green thumb or an interest in flowers and greenery? Are you interested in helping make public areas more attractive and stimulating pride in the community? If so, this is an exciting new committee that will be charged with diverse beautification tasks designed for all seasons.

The Ad Hoc Ellington Trails Committee has been established for the purpose of maintaining and advancing the Town's trail system. Are you aware that there are six different hiking trails currently maintained in Ellington? Are you a hiking enthusiast or do you enjoy a brisk walk in an array of scenic settings? Are you interested in sharing your passion and helping with routine trail maintenance, to identify opportunities to create new trails or collaborate with other like-minded volunteers? If so, this committee is perfect for you!

If you are interested in a position on one of these committees, there are Statements of Interest forms available online at
ellington-ct.gov under Government-Boards & Commissions-How to Serve, or you can pick one up in the First Selectman's Office. For more information or if you have any questions, call (860) 870-3100 or email info@ellington-ct.gov.
