Recording Secretary for the Charter Revision Commission:  The Town of Ellington is seeking candidates for a Recording Secretary position for the Charter Revision Commission.  

$90-$110 per meeting; plus additional compensation for processing the agenda.  Closing date is December 1, 2014.

Responsibilities of the Recording Secretary position require that the meeting agendas be filed with the Town Clerk at least 24 hours before the meeting.  Agendas can be faxed or scanned.  The Chairman sets the agenda and will contact the Recording Secretary with instructions.  The position requires attendance at evening meetings to record the meeting and then prepare the minutes within a timely manner.  The minutes must be submitted to the Town Clerk within seven days after the meeting.  Minutes must have an original signature and the Recording Secretary will be required to mail or hand-deliver the completed documents.

Meeting Schedule to be established.  It is anticipated that the Commission may meet twice a month.
