Saturday, June 1 at 10:00 am - Join us for a walk celebrating Connecticut trails on the Annual Trails Day sponsored by the CT Forest & Park Association. This .67 mile trail includes several brooks and flowing mountain laurel in the spring. Parking is available on Hopkins Road across from 39 Hopkins Road. We encourage visitors to car pool if possible. Please be respectful of neighboring residential properties. Access to the trailhead is on the south side of Hopkins Road. Registration is recommended. Go to www.ctwoodlands.org and look for the Ellington event under CT Trails Day.

Thursday, August 15 at 7:30 pm - The Astronomical Society of Connecticut will join us after a moonlight walk at Windermere. Come to enjoy a look at the stars and planets from a different viewpoint! The Society will be setting up telescopes on the Pinney Street Fields after the walk to view the amazing solar system; attendees are welcome to bring their own telescopes and binoculars. Parking for this event will be at the Pinney Street Fields, where the walk will begin.
